3D Animator / CGI Artist

We are looking for 3D Animator / CGI Artist candidates for a project delivered through micro1.

What you'll do

  • Create and annotate high-quality 3D character animations using tools such as Blender, Maya, or Cinema 4D for AI training datasets.
  • Implement rigging and character movement techniques to ensure accurate representation of motion and behavior in 3D models.
  • Provide critical analysis and annotation of video data to improve AI understanding of animation and CGI elements.
  • Collaborate with project coordinators to clarify annotation guidelines and align deliverables with the customer's needs.
  • Leverage CGI/VFX expertise to identify and document nuanced animation features for the project’s dataset.
  • Ensure submissions maintain consistency, accuracy, and high standards of visual presentation.
  • Offer constructive feedback to continuously refine annotation strategies and processes.

What you need

  • No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters.

Nice to have

  • Proficiency in 3D animation using Blender, Maya, or Cinema 4D.
  • Solid understanding of rigging, skinning, and character movement workflows.
  • Experience with CGI/VFX pipelines and best practices for video data annotation or asset review.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to recognize and describe subtle differences in movement and visual style.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on clarity and collaboration in a remote setting.
  • Entry-level or mid-level experience in 3D animation, CGI, or related fields (senior-level expertise is not required).
  • Passion for advancing AI technologies through high-quality creative contributions.
