We are looking for Civil Rights Attorney (BigLaw Firms) candidates for a project delivered through micro1.

What you'll do

  • Analyze and interpret complex civil rights statutes, regulations, and case law for relevance and accuracy.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research and draft written summaries, memos, or analyses highlighting key legal issues and precedents.
  • Develop and review realistic civil rights scenarios, hypotheticals, and legal problems for use in AI model development.
  • Evaluate and critique AI-generated legal analyses, providing expert feedback and ensuring adherence to legal standards.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to clarify legal concepts, address ambiguities, and ensure quality of inputs.
  • Assist in creating clear, concise, and accurate legal content tailored to a variety of learning contexts.
  • Identify emerging trends and potential areas of risk in civil rights law as they relate to AI and technology platforms.

Nice to have

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with admission to the bar in at least one jurisdiction.
  • Substantial experience practicing civil rights law, preferably with a background in prominent (BigLaw) firms.
  • Strong track record of legal research, writing, and case law analysis in complex and high-stakes matters.
  • Exceptional critical thinking skills and a keen attention to detail in both analysis and communication.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret statutes and policies, translating legal concepts for non-legal audiences.
  • Experience collaborating in multidisciplinary or technology-driven environments.
  • Interest in the intersection of law, policy, and emerging technologies, particularly AI and its societal impacts.
