We are looking for Subject Matter Expert – Medicine & Biostatistics Chart Analysis candidates for a project delivered through micro1.

What you'll do

  • Interpret complex medical and biostatistical charts, including Kaplan-Meier curves, forest plots, ROC curves, hazard-ratio plots, and similar clinical or epidemiological visualizations, with professional accuracy.
  • Draft clear, objective, and multi-step analytical questions based on intricate visual data, requiring quantitative reasoning and detailed interpretation beyond basic data extraction.
  • Deliver precise, unambiguous answers accompanied by comprehensive, step-by-step explanations in expert-level written English, outlining calculations, statistical inferences, or clinical judgment.
  • Apply domain-specific medical and biostatistical terminology, ensuring accurate reference to units, scales, confidence intervals, p-values, and annotations across all deliverables.
  • Design reasoning tasks that emphasize graphical interpretation, comparisons, calculations, trend analysis, and data interpolation, while strictly avoiding subjective or ambiguous phrasing.
  • Collaborate remotely and reliably with project teams via written and verbal channels, actively incorporating feedback and upholding consistent, high-quality communication.
  • Produce verifiable reasoning assignments that directly support training and evaluation use cases for advanced AI models.

What you need

  • No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree (MD, MPH, PhD, or equivalent) in Medicine, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Public Health, or a closely related quantitative or clinical field.
  • Two or more years of professional, academic, or research experience interpreting clinical trial data, survival analyses, or epidemiological visualizations.
  • Demonstrated advanced skill with axes, legends, units, scales, confidence intervals, and statistical annotations in medical charts (e.g., Kaplan-Meier, forest, ROC curves).
  • Proven ability to clearly articulate analytical processes and provide clinical or biostatistical reasoning in high-quality written and spoken English.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and, ideally, a second language relevant to medical or research practice.
  • Experience in technical documentation, scientific publishing, assessment or analytical task development, or structured data annotation for clinical, research, or AI-focused projects.
  • Background in producing benchmark questions, technical reports, or data annotation tasks for medical, clinical research, or AI model development engagements.
