We are looking for Architect — Design Coordination (Vulcan) candidates for a project delivered through Mercor.
What you'll do
- Author evaluation tasks for the construction and property field, starting from real drawings, documents, and site photos.
- Create correct answers for the evaluation tasks.
- Review and create tasks based on architectural RFI responses.
- Perform architectural set QC checks.
- Conduct technical peer reviews.
- Perform cross-sheet coordination reviews.
- Conduct constructability reviews.
- Perform redline back-checks.
- Approve design changes.
- Scope addendum changes.
- Produce as-built drawings.
- Review pre-bid drawing scope.
- Perform drawing-set document control.
- Conduct commissioning design reviews.
- Review shop drawings for interiors, millwork, and building envelope details.
What you need
- Currently hold, or recently held, the seat that produces and coordinates permit and construction drawing sets: architect of record, project architect, job captain, or design coordination lead.
- Licensed architect.
- 3 or more years in the seat, US based, working in US model code jurisdictions.
- Ability to mark up drawing sets and details using Bluebeam Revu or equivalent.
Nice to have
- 8 or more years of experience as a project architect or job captain producing permit sets (in lieu of license).
- 8 or more years in the seat, US based, working in US model code jurisdictions.
- Experience running set QC or back-check on other people's drawings.
- Experience mentoring job captains.
- Experience maintaining office standards.
- Experience maintaining a detail library.
- Experience working both sides of the RFI process as designer and as reviewer.
