We are looking for Code Plan Reviewer (Plans Examiner) — Vulcan candidates for a project delivered through Mercor.
What you'll do
- Author tasks and correct answers for evaluation based on real drawings, documents, and site photos.
- Review building plans for code compliance.
What you need
- Currently hold or recently held the seat that reviews permit drawing sets for code compliance.
- Hold ICC Building Plans Examiner certification (B1, B2 or B3) or have current or recent employment doing AHJ or third party plan review.
- Have 3 or more years of experience working in US model code jurisdictions (IBC, IEBC, IECC, ICC A117.1).
- Able to mark up and measure a plan set using Bluebeam Revu or equivalent.
Nice to have
- 8 or more years of experience.
- Experience training junior examiners.
- Experience writing or maintaining a comment library or correction template.
- Experience doing QA on other reviewers' work.
- Experience working across several code editions and jurisdictions and can say precisely what changes between them.
